He’s barely even a platoon 2B right now.

I think outsourced wise they can certainly find a better option. His defense hasn’t outweighed his offensive struggles.

@jpep20 Oh no that’s not what I’m saying. I just don’t think Harper should play anywhere but 1B or DH. They should have been more focused on replacing that OF bat rather than hoping for a reclamation project in Garcia.

The roster construction is their issue. Too many DH types.

RF stats for Harper:
+1 DRS
-24 outs above average
-14 fielding run value

Errors isn’t the best way to evaluate defense especially in RF.

Some trade stuff:
1. Tigers are telling other teams: As of now, they're not selling. The sweep of the Rays will fuel their hope of climbing back into the AL race.
2. The Red Sox are signaling to other teams that not only are they looking to add a right-handed bat, but they're also willing to spend $ to do it.
3. Right now, there is very little relief help available. Clubs looking for bullpen additions say even the worst teams won't talk bullpen swaps... yet.
