After a year of training, I’m finally starting to see the progress.
But progress takes time. Personal progress, mental progress, physical progress, professional progress… it doesn't happen overnight. Give it time. Eventually, one day, you look in the mirror and you see it.
It’s hard work. A lot of the time it hurts. There is failure along the way. Whatever your progress is, needs to be, or you want it to be, give yourself grace and TIME.

Today I’m struggling.
I’m feeling depressed, I haven’t been feeling well, and I injured my finger, which has completely impacted my ability to push the weights like I want. My energy just isn’t here right now.
I got up, got ready to workout, and I just couldn't find the motivation to push through.
But what I did do is try.
I got up, got dressed, and made it into the gym. I did a 10-minute bike ride to just see what happens.
I know this feeling will pass. I know my injury will heal. But today, just showing up is the success. Getting out of bed when I didn’t want to is enough. Tomorrow is another opportunity to try again.
The motto isn’t perfection every day. Mine is just “better than yesterday”.
Take care of yourself out there. Remember, we aren’t shooting for perfection. We are just shooting for our best—whatever that looks like in the moment.
