If Babe Ruth saw Shohei Ohtani throw one 100 mph fastball, he would’ve quit baseball to become 1920’s/30’s Joey Chestnut. Please stop with this nonsense.
Wild to think that I got a chance to write this 11 years ago before KAT got drafted (to the Wolves) and now he’s three wins away from delivering the first Knicks championship in 53 years.
After all he’s had to endure the last few years, along w/ some of the disgusting opinions people have shared abt him in a public light, he deserves all his flowers moving forward, whether he wins a title or not. But there’s no denying that a win would elevate his legacy for good.
KAT was exceptional last night on both ends of the floor. And there’s no Knick I’m rooting harder for to have a great series than him. I think he’s the key to the Knicks winning the series, but also, a title would change the entire conversation about him.
If you are only available for 22% of a game, at maximum, you are not the most important player on a championship team. Let’s not be ridiculous.
He can still be the best NYC closer (for now), but let’s not say stuff like this.
One quarter into the NBA Finals, Jalen Brunson is affirming the concerns people have about small guards being able to win it all.
The closer you get. The more physical it gets. So far, Brunson’s body is betraying him.
Josh was so damn good in that second half. All over the place and grabbing seemingly every big rebound or loose ball. Along with great defense. Irreplaceable.
