Oh I’m totally on this! With @steedstylin, @brandybongos and @nathanbottomley. It was loads of fun, probably more fun than a hot date with a guest appearance from the Pope.
This week, we penetrate the heart of the Vatican, only to discover that behind its dusty and arcane lore lies an eldritch horror that threatens the very idea of existence itself. It's Extremis.

@FTEpodcast I’m watching along! Terrific podcast on a strong ep.
I offer this question: shouldn’t Bill, rather than the Doctor, have punched that racist?
This week, we’re off to the Thames Frost Fair, expecting a jolly afternoon of daydrinking, only to find ourselves engaged in an intriguing discussion about race, class, death and the ethics of killing. It’s Thin Ice.

@rtalalay Not my place. But. Almost every episode is somebody's favourite. Almost every episode is somebody's least favourite. The criticisms people make of an episode they hate are (a) usually true (b) also true of the ones they love but happily disregarded. Hate and love are like that.
@PeteMcTighe I love The Happiness Patrol, but its limitations are sadly obvious onscreen. So the prospect of a SE is very exciting! I suspect it’s one of the few classic stories that benefits from having its cut scenes reinstated.
I love this 48min forensic examination of every Doctor Who theme. Music nerd alert.

I loved lots about Empire of Death, but the mystery of Ruby’s Mum must surely also be #DoctorWho’s biggest anti-climax. I’m trying to think of other works of fiction which use that narrative technique and whether it’s ever actually worked.
