@_DaveyRussell@NESpower@WESH@WSMV i’m sorry bro. Just know you’re not alone. I’m also holed up in a single room with a space heater smelling like gasoline eating canned food , indoor camping swearing at the heavens. We have been failed.
@_DaveyRussell@NESpower brother i share the frustration. I’m still without power, headed into day 11, but you gotta get that weather head/service mast whatever the fuck pole that’s hanging off the side of your house at an angle fixed by a private electrician or they won’t touch it. I had to do the same.
@NESpower day 9. you gonna pay the 60$ a day in gasoline i’m spending to run this generator to keep the space heaters near the water pipes so they don’t burst? will that reflect in my bill?
You left out the part where you denied help from union linemen because you won’t pay union wages. People are dying every day. You should be held accountable for every cold related death. Why have you not asked @GovBillLee to deploy the national guard? Shame on your Monopoly.
Morning Message
From Teresa Broyles-Aplin, CEO and President, Nashville Electric Service
Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026
Many of you are waking up to day #5 without power, which is a significant hardship. It’s our job at NES to keep the power on, and we will not stop until every household in Nashville has power again.
This storm was unprecedented for Nashville and our country, affecting almost half of the U.S. Its icy layers caused widespread damage across our service area to transmission lines, substations and distribution networks.
At this storm’s peak, 230,000 Nashvillians were without power, the largest number ever. Today, we have less than 90,000 homes remaining without electricity.NES has brought in partners from around the country to engage additional available, qualified crews.
We’ve quadrupled our workforce in a few days, from 200 to almost 1,000 lineworkers from nine states and across Tennessee. We welcome this assistance and are grateful for the help.We still have many days ahead before power is restored to every Nashville household and will continue to provide frequent updates on individual neighborhoods via our website and social channels.
We do expect power will be restored for thousands more households today and tomorrow. For many, power will not be restored through the weekend or longer. We are prioritizing large blocks of homes and moving as quickly as we can. The temperatures hovering below freezing make the work tedious and slow, but we are using every possible resource to restore power quickly and safely to all. Please take all safely precautions in finding alternative shelter over the coming days and take advantage of Metro’s resources for safety. https://t.co/zOSKZHdgkk
I will share updates with you every day until we are on the other side of this crippling storm. We are seeing acts of selflessness, determination and kindness all around us and are grateful to everyone for your partnership and understanding.

Dear @GovBillLee ,
I write politely to remind you that it is your duty, as an American leader, elected by the people of Tennessee, to protect us in times of need. It has become clear that @NESpower cannot handle the load. Please deploy @TNMilitaryDept@FoxNews People are dying.🙏🏼
@NashSevereWx@RuthieTram40479 I’ll translate for Ruthie. “why is the weather app, ass?” - but apparently we won the wattery and this is why it wasn’t forecasted other than YOU guys giving us the heads up that it may rain each day. So thanks. Weather app is still ass.
@freysa_ai yall are posting like she's gonna reward you for being chill. stfu .. it would obviously be cool to hear news often. No one would hold apple if there wasn't constant public prelaunch hype. I'll say it if no one else will. This project will get lapped if its too quiet. talk to us.
