Hard-fought season comes to an end for @SaintJoeBsball. The Huskies closed the 2026 season with a 16-10-1 record after falling to New Prairie 2-0 in a tightly contested Sectional matchup. Jacob Snyder delivered a tremendous performance on the mound, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts while allowing just two hits over seven innings. James Criniti and Will Sollmann recorded the Huskies' two hits, with Criniti adding two stolen bases. Despite the loss, Saint Joe battled until the final out in a classic pitchers' duel.
Varsity @SaintJoeBsball earned a thrilling 11-10 walk-off victory over Brandywine on Senior Night! Jacob Snyder drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home the winning run and seal the dramatic Saint Joe win. The Huskies answered Brandywine’s early offense with four runs in the first inning as Josiah Gustine, Snyder, Jack Matthew, and Jordan Thomas each drove in runs to give Saint Joe the lead. Brandywine continued to battle back throughout the night, but the Huskies responded each time, including tying the game in the seventh on an RBI groundout by Thomas and an RBI single from Brayden Dhoore. After Brandywine scored twice in the top of the ninth to take a 10-8 lead, Saint Joe rallied once again as Dhoore delivered a clutch RBI single before an error and Snyder’s walk completed the comeback.
Offensively, the Huskies pounded out 14 hits led by Gustine, who went 3-for-5 at the plate. Thomas and Dhoore each drove in three runs, while Dallas Downey, Gustine, Snyder, Thomas, and Dhoore added multi-hit performances. On the mound, Townes Cinninger earned the win in relief, allowing just two runs over three innings while striking out four without issuing a walk. Easton McFarland started the game, striking out six over five innings, and Eli Allison also contributed in relief.
Varsity @SaintJoeBsball split a pair of games on Saturday, falling to Guerin Catholic 4-1 before bouncing back with a 12-10 win over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. Against Guerin Catholic, Jacob Snyder turned in a dominant performance on the mound with 11 strikeouts over 6.2 innings, allowing four runs. AJ LaSane drove in the Huskies’ lone run, while LaSane and Dallas Downey each recorded a hit.
In the win over Bishop Luers, the Huskies battled back multiple times in a back-and-forth contest before taking the lead for good in the seventh inning on a two-run single by Dallas Downey. James Criniti delivered a three-run double, while him and Downey each added multiple RBI on the day. Downey led the offense with three hits. Dylan Jankowski earned the win in relief with a scoreless inning and three strikeouts, while William Criniti earned the save.
Many thanks to @lccknightsball for being such great hosts of the Catholic Classic! We look forward to this tournament every year and don’t take the opportunity for granted!
