While discussing re-signing with TNA for another year, Santino Marella noted he believes there has been more online hatred towards TNA in 2026 and the company threw it back in people's faces a little bit with Bound for Glory.
"There’s a lot of talk about TNA contracts expiring at the end of the year. Carlos [Silva] is proactive. He left me last week and just said, 'Of course we want to have you back.' So, I've signed. I've re-signed for another year with TNA. It just feels like it's the right thing to do. It's the right timing, the direction that we're going, the momentum that we have. Ever since AMC everything has been incredible.
"I notice this year, though, there's a little more hatred online, which is a good thing for us because if nobody hates you in this business you're not doing anything significant. They were doubting us going into Bound for Glory. We showed everybody, kind of threw it in their face a little bit. It was an incredible pay-per-view. History was made, multiple titles were changed. If there was ever a doubt in anybody’s mind, we erased it after Bound for Glory. That’s what happens when you’re in the big leagues. There’s people that constantly criticise AEW, WWE, and now TNA. We must be doing something right."
