2026年9月1日，動物保護團體在江西省贛州市「新華加油站」，攔截了一輛大型非法狗肉車，車上至少有500隻被偷盜而來的寵物狗，其中甚至有帶著項圈的退休警犬。最讓人痛心的是，有些狗狗因為害怕不停哭泣，已經連聲音都沙啞了。

如果沒有被動物保護志工攔下來，這些狗狗接下來就會被送往屠宰場，成為中國人餐桌上的佳餚。

由於當地政府曾有多次前科紀錄，被動物保護團體救下來的狗狗，當天又被當地政府賣給狗肉商人。因此這一車的狗狗，目前都被安置在流浪狗救助基地。

中國現在一直自傲世界第二大經濟體，早已實現全面脫貧。對於一直相信人類、深愛人類的狗狗，為什麼還仍堅持把牠們送上餐桌成為食物呢？

一直用飲食風俗當作藉口，我相信很難說服全世界。
