레드벨벳(Red Velvet)이 신곡 ‘서핀 보이(Surfin' Boy)’로 올여름을 물들일 새로운 벨벳 감성을 선보인다.

오는 8월 3일 오후 6시 각종 글로벌 음악 플랫폼을 통해 공개되는 여름 미니앨범 ‘벨벳 서머(Velvet Summer)’에는 타이틀곡 ‘서핀 보이(Surfin' Boy)’를 비롯해 총 5곡이 수록된다. 이번 앨범은 레드벨벳 특유의 부드럽고 성숙한 분위기를 담아 한층 깊어진 여름 감성을 전할 예정이다.

타이틀곡 ‘서핀 보이(Surfin' Boy)’는 보사노바 기타 선율을 바탕으로 레게 리듬과 하우스 그루브를 조화롭게 녹여낸 댄스곡이다. 햇살이 반짝이는 바다를 떠올리게 하는 청량한 사운드와 시원하면서도 몽환적인 보컬 하모니가 어우러져 레드벨벳만의 여름 무드를 완성한다.

가사에는 멤버 조이가 단독으로 참여했다. 함께했던 가장 눈부신 여름의 추억을 되새기고, 소중한 사람과 또 다른 찬란한 순간을 만들어가자는 메시지를 담아 곡의 감성을 더욱 풍성하게 했다.

또한 20일 0시 레드벨벳 공식 SNS를 통해 첫 번째 티저 이미지가 공개됐다. 해변을 배경으로 자연스러운 분위기를 연출한 멤버들은 빈티지한 감성과 여유로운 무드를 선사하며 컴백 기대감을 한층 끌어올렸다.
