On rewatch, the office scene inside the Crazy Horse feels incredibly jarring because the show spent four seasons treating Adriana strictly like Tony’s future niece-in-law.

Then, Christopher heads to North Carolina, a bag of cocaine gets opened, and suddenly they are inches away from crossing a permanent line.

It feels totally rushed and random. Is it possible the writers just forced this horny, drug-induced fling into the script out of nowhere, or do you think it actually fit the toxic psychology of the characters at that point?

The sexual tension at large was just so non-existent until this exact episode, making the whole shift feel incredibly abrupt.
