My cousin got married at 29.
Before the wedding, her fiancé told her clearly:
“I don’t believe in joint accounts. My salary is mine. Your salary is yours. We will split bills.”
She agreed.
Three years later, she lost her job.
Her husband paid all the bills without complaint for 8 months.
Then she got another job.
A year later, the husband lost his own job.
He expected her to take over while he got back on his feet.
She refused.
Her exact words:
“You said your money was your money and my money was my money. I respected that. Respect it now.”
Their families are divided.
Some say she is wicked.
Others say she is simply following the rules he created.
Who is wrong?
Once the novelty wears off, you start realising how displaced we truly are.
The novelty for me, started wearing off in year 6. I think many people start feeling it around the 5-7 yr mark.
Men who gloss over women solely for their academic achievements amuse me though.
It’s good to see a woman applying herself but it’s way more important that she’s a reasonable human being.
I’m not saying that going to school and being a reasonable human are mutually exclusive, I’m saying that a woman’s degrees and material worth do not matter to the extent some men gloss over it.
Any idiot can go to school, get degrees and become a Dr.
Nothing is more important in a person than their personal values.
Please pray about everything ! Your mood swings, your temper, your ego, your insecurities, your mindset, your self love, your emotional state, your environment, your relationships, your lack of motivation, your lack of execution, your attraction to bad ppl ! PRAY ABOUT IT ALL !
somewhere in your 20s or 30s you’ll get the opportunity to rebuild your life after a negative loop. its very important that you see that journey through
🚨🇬🇭Van Vicker shared a beautiful story about meeting his wife on a bus in 1994 after practice. They actually argued over a seat, but it turned into a love story fueled by shared TomTom sweets and handwritten letters
