The signed MOU seeks to establish an educational collaboration for health professionals training between @MbararaUST and @emergency_ngo.

Of recent, I have noticed a lot of orwaari (noise, kelele), regarding the Sovereignty Bill. Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated.
Below is clarification on what I initiated.
At the heart of Uganda’s disease prevention strategy is the Community Health Extension Worker program. To- date, over 30 districts have CHEWs deployed and conducting life changing activities within the communities at parish level.
The @MinofHealthUG under #UCREPP funding has acquired two mini buses and two vans to facilitate training of Health workers as well as integrated support supervision activities in the country!
Health Minister, @JaneRuth_Aceng has officially launched the Uganda Population- Based HIV Impact Assessment (UPHIA) 2025 to gather information on the progress and impact of the current national HIV epidemic response efforts to guide further interventions and close existing gaps.
Additionally, for the first time, UPHIA will seek to understand the burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (high blood pressure, high blood sugar and obesity) among the general population and people living with HIV. #MOHatWork
