In the category of repealed tax laws that never die, I just had a question where they thought they had to roll the proceeds of a personal home sale into new house to get gain exclusion/deferral. That law died in the late 90’s but I still hear it from people in 2022. 😱😱😱

@CariWestonCPA I made the transition 6 years ago. If only my tax prep software would escape the 90’s I could be full Mac. For now, I run Windows in parallels on my Mac to access the tax program. It works. But the new M1 Macs don’t do Windows x86 in virtualization.

Just yesterday freaked out about Advanced Premium tax credit on a 1040 because ERC wages in 2020 would increase income on a 1040. Trip wires everywhere.

Okay #TaxTwitter and @taxgirl - I’ve got clients contacting me that their 4th quarter tax payments sent by mail have not cleared yet. I never get these kinds of calls.

@taxgirl Definitely go with 27”. It’s the much more finished product over the 21.5”. You will get used to the 27” very fast. I went from two monitors down to one 27” 3 years ago and never looked back. I have a small laptop and iPad for additional screen real estate when necessary.
