@EduFabians@MichaelRosenYes@SwailesRuth@RaeSnape@secretHT1 @CatMcKinnell @bphillipsonMP This post doesnโt help further discussion on the real issues facing education. It is poor practice to be posting a cartoon based on second hand information when you are not willing to substantiate the claim or provide the context. We would like challenge students for doing this.
@CherryMorrello I am so sorry to hear this news. I will truly miss reading the amazing love and passion for life Tracey shared with us all even through challenging times. My most sincere condolences to all her family and friends.
@StuartLock Having done it myself in a really easy-to-reach location behind an air-brick I would say get someone in! It was a nightmare hearing them getting so angry and then legging it.
@maximjkelly Worked at a school that had a corridor fence internal to the outer fence which went around the site (6ft spacing) and allowed the right of way just not through the middle of the site and separated public from the students. Seemed to work ok and was agreed by council/land registry
@WStand13@TTRadioOfficial I would imagine much like many of the HMCIโs before they will create a mainstream approach and then berate SEND settings for not achieving for our students and meeting their idea of what should be done.
@WhistleblowingT I have struggled not to turn on all caps! Itโs legally required and yes can very much be a disciplinary if you do not do themโฆโฆโฆ. Shall leave that there
@WhistleblowingT I think this post is a little confused. Residentialโs in the vast majority of schools have always been based on staff good will. I have done many and never received anything in way of compensation however would always support them where I can because they are amazing for pupils.
@TeachLeadAAli Absolutely a time I cherish in my days! Fantastic to model engagement and social communication skills within my setting and get to know pupils better. We have a rota so that we cover all the areas across school and all of SLT/SMT get to see all aspects.
@DeputyGrocott I brought my father one from CEX years ago as something to do during stays at hospital and it's still going strong now. 24 months warranty isn't bad.....
@Headteacherchat Exactly thisโฆ. I led and appraisal meeting where I was informed that the general feeling around school was that SLT were not experiencing the same level of scrutiny. We took it as praise that we had been so good at shielding staff from the extreme pressure we are under๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@WhistleblowingT Our school is completely smoking prohibited so that would be to follow the process of the policy. As many have stated it depends on the policy in place.

What CPD sessions have you delivered to raise staff pedagogical knowledge? We have a range of staff experience levels and want to give some useful foundations for all. We want to explore classroom practice in a supportive way. #education#pedagogy#teachertwitter#edutwitter
@andreajenkyns While surrounded by police officers and perfectly safe you decided this was appropriate behaviour for an MP. You are a leader in Education. Are you happy for teachers with no police to act the same way now? Is it enough for us to say we have had enough in the last few years? 2/2
@andreajenkyns Andrea, in my job in special needs teaching I have been sworn at, punched, kicked, threatened verbally, and had truly horrifying things said about my family. At no point have I ever responded in anything other than a professional way because that is my job! 1/2
