@DTcdggh I think Real Madrid only get 50% of the fee, not the bonuses. So adding some very achieveable bonuses, delays initial financial output until next summer, and Osasuna recoup more in there pockets. OR Newcastle could just pay the release clause and Osasuna would get less.

@Magpie24_7 Exactly this! We’ve looked the most dangerous when Gordon’s been up top. His movement & ability to beat someone forces defenders out of position like they had to with Isak. Creating gaps for other players like Barnes, Willock, Ramsey and Elanga willing crashing the box.

Neither of these were originally given by the on field ref, but one was looked by VAR and awarded. The other would have been a clear denial of a goal scoring opportunity but not looked at. Surely the same rule applies to both, no? #nufc

@Domosich @GianfrancoShoIa Totally agree! The minute we sold ASM we need to bring in another creative option to replace him. Yes ASM could be frustrating, but you knew every team would stick two players on him, even on his worst day, which would open up space for someone else.

@NUFCcook The bottom line is they are two very different players. One is going to create a tonne of chances and unlock defenses. The other going to score them. Both seem to contribute similar same Goals/Assists. Question is do we need someone to create or someone to score? I think create.

Don’t think it hurts them the same way if they are missing Thiago, Nunez and Konate compared to Newcastle having ASM, Wilson and Guimaraes, their 3 best players & having to turn a weak squad to fill in
