@FansAgainstVAR_@martindelp When goal-line technology was introduced, it worked and no one complained. VAR was introduced years of complaints, horrendous decisions and rule changes to try and fit VAR into football has followed. The answer is in there somewhere!
I cannot even begin to describe how proud I am of all my @DWP colleagues. We are facing a huge challenge but the effort and support that I am seeing and receiving is phenomenal - all to deliver the very best service we can! Thank you everyone - I canโt say it enough.
@jwatson090@henrywinter This is so true but what it seems to most (well me) that VAR decisions are still debatable. My feeling is so much of our game is down to opinion that VAR simply can't solve it. My view is that either revert back pre VAR or reduce the var checks and give teams a no of challenges.
@BArnsmeier@ViktorFagerLFC@henrywinter The games was improved instantly with goal line technology. VAR has provided much less clarity. I don't see an improvement pre VAR to post VAR. I see the same people having more time to make different mistakes, for me I think that VAR just isn't suited to our game.
@Dan_1884@carpediemmonst1@lemo216 @AlexClements6 @MarsBarDude@GaryLineker It's a feeling isnt it @Dan_1884 it's not about disregarding the rules its about not turning sport into something clinical. Perhaps giving the managers a number of challenges would take it away , one a half , one a game?
@lemo216@Dan_1884 @AlexClements6 @MarsBarDude@GaryLineker If VAR had replaced the seen them given then no one would been complaining. Unfortunately what VAR is doing is moving the inconsistency upstream. So it's now seen VAR given. Excuse the terrible pun. Sport is perfectly imperfect, for me that's the beauty.
@agbnufc@GaryLineker @Geordie_Ingham Too many grey areas then? I don't think VAR can help unless it starts to look at every single decision. What about the freekick that shouldn't have been given that led to the next free kick that led to the goal. I just don't like VAR very much .
@AntPent@SiClare@GaryLineker@CPFC Couldn't agree more, I'm sure everyone wanted VAR to be seamless. If it can't be then I dont think fans want it near the game , the magic is going to be taken away if we aren't careful.
@GarethCDS10@GaryLineker Yeah I do get the idea and I really wanted it to work. I mean the referees job isn't easy is it. For me they have just plundered it in and it feels like the feeling for the game is in danger of being lost .
