@Atzaran3@CDavidFloyd@danroberts0101 If they have good reasons for their decisions, they should be transparent with their shareholders to the degree allowed by SEC regulations. Nobody likes to hear that they are being kept in the dark on purpose.
@David_Slotnick Ridiculous judicial decision took away their last chance for survival and the idiot judge said he did it as a gift for Spirit's customers. Am I missing anything?
@RealPeterLinder I am doing some research on $vle. 2 concerns:
They seem to be subject to SMR windfall tax above $100 a barrel- is that correct?
Also, the seem very acquisition oriented as a use of their cash. Could not that potentially squander their cash ?
Thoughts?
@mmm_btus Same. Now I'm looking closer and the preferreds can be taken out partially and at any time. They can take out a lot thru cash flow and new debt. Looking for $400 million cash flow plus potential upside benefit from spot pricing. Talk me down please.
@Ashton_1nvests Amzn. They can turn on and off the FCF spigot at will. Their moat is ridiculous and they almost have a PE fund included. Their biggest problem is they are boring and predictable .
@David_Slotnick Just a historically bad judicial decision. The Clayton act was designed to prevent monopolies. This was far from it. The worst part is that the shorts seemed to know it would come down that way. How?
@mintzmyer@Shipping_VIE True and shipping was a great call during Covid. I still have a bunch of shipping stocks. But you are kind of fitting the curve here. If you go back 10 years amzn is up 600% and nmm is down 11%. 5 years ago was a value stock trough.
@David_Slotnick Amazing. I lost more than I want to admit as a Spirit shareholder thinking that a judge would make an obvious and rational decision. Lesson learned!
@LaLaAhOh It's hard to understand why they continue to short pay and try to push NFE towards bankruptcy when they have no other options. It seems a very self-defeating strategy. Is this just all about corruption?
@pendlipr NFE has been sniffing around this AI project for months. If it starts looking realistic and with strong sponsorship watch out. The short interest here is huge and the squeeze could be too. A lot of "ifs" but stars may align......
