@ToneLangengen@jeegarkakkad Good article, just one point, I believe that Jaguar Land Rover and Mini, have not only decided to develop EV batteries in Slovenia and China, they are moving production of their electric models there from the UK. So that's a double whammy. Car production jobs lost too.
@ToneLangengen I struggle to think when a UK government last had a long term strategy - in any sector - that was properly developed and reached maturity.
Britishvolt's problem was being unable to sign a supply contract with any motor manufacturer, either in the UK or overseas. Who is going to invest in a supplier with no customers?
@faisalislam I believe that there is also a potential ROO issue here under the terms of the UK/EU TCA, for EVs being sold in the EU market. @AnnaJerzewska will certainly know and be able to explain it better than I could.
I recall that the BBC's Breakfast Time was not that good in the 1980s. The big change happened when they copied the format of the the Channel Four Daily after it ceased in 1992.
@lewis_goodall Is this the future of devolution, every Act passed by a devolved parliament/assembly will be ruled on by the UK Supreme Court when it does not suit the Westminster Parliament? Sounds more like division than devolution.
