Great to see the Premiership trophy at Addenbrookes hospital today @CUH_NHS Managed to get through the crowd and get a pic. Next time I’ll see it it should have red ribbons! @premierleague@LFC@Barclays
Good Luck to all starting #GMTS. An NHS career that is as rewarding as it is challenging awaits. Everyday is an opportunity to improve the life of NHS staff so that they can provide great care for our patients. Remember: seek forgiveness not permission. (GMTS cohort 1995)
@andyheeps There’s loads of games for dogs which can be helpful (ones where treats are hidden behind little sliding doors). Chewing and barking are signs of boredom. We used them until Molly worked out how to throw them to get the treats.
Great practice in practise @UHNM_NHS Mental Health patients needs met by the most appropriate skilled team to ensure the best help to those that need them.
@wmasgregdubois @UHNM_NHS@OFFICIALWMAS@SoTCityCouncil Pt’s in #Stoke with mental heath problems, Do Not worry about your care. We @UHNM_NHS care about you and are focused on getting you to the right place @ right time. Our hospital policy is in line with national recommendations. This is our policy #bestpractice
Our ED frequently sees patients with MH needs and I would be keen to understand what happened here as there has been no change in policy and we have 24 hr liaison psychiatry cover which is better than many EDs
@wmasgregdubois @UHNM_NHS@OFFICIALWMAS@SoTCityCouncil Hi @wmasgregdubois I am the COO at UHNM. This is news to us. Please DM me with details on this so we can sort. Just to make it clear UHNM continue to accept MH patients - always have, always will. Thanks.
@UHNM_NHS A significant improvement in patient care realised through exceptional collaboration between our fantastic Estates team, incredible Portocabin team and amazing clinical staff.
@lizsargeant@ECISTNetwork@lizsargeant I think acute Trusts only develop these as there are too many MFFD patients and not enough medical staff to look after them. In Stoke we have reduced MFFD by half but still have over 100 who dont need medical input but do need a good level of care.
Last Oct we ran out of beds with patients delayed in ED. This Oct we started our Acute Medical Receiving Unit. Now 93% patients treated & let home quicker=empty beds every day since=Better care for patients @UHNM_NHS @LizRix_UHNM #proudtocare
This week we are hosting Sepsis Week, aiming to boost awareness of this serious condition. Our Sepsis team will be about with their trolley throughout our Royal Stoke site. If you see them around, don’t hesitate to have a chat with them and even pose for a photo! #UHNMSepsisWeek
