Liam Gavin joins Fleet Town FC ahead of the 2026/27 season! ✍️

Together they enjoyed a memorable 2020/21 campaign, securing promotion to Step 4 and reaching the FA Vase Final at Wembley.
Liam arrives from Hartley Wintney, where he has spent the past few seasons and captained the side, demonstrating the leadership qualities and consistency that have made him a highly respected figure in the local non-league game.
His experience, organisation and presence at the heart of the defence will be a valuable addition as preparations continue for the new season.
Welcome to Fleet Town, Liam! 🔵⚽

The turnout, the noise and the energy… it was incredible and a real statement of what this football club and town can do! ⚽️
A real privilege to return as manager to the place where I fell in love with the game as a baby faced 19 year old in an XL shirt.
Nobody said it’s gonna be easy but it’ll be fun to watch. Hard work has already started. Some exciting lads onboard.
Let’s go ❤️💙 @OfficialShots
Really excited for this next chapter of my football career!
This club is in a great place already but with huge potential to progress and I’ll be giving everything to make sure that happens! ⚽️
Jon Underwood Joins as Director of Football ⚽
We’re delighted to welcome @JonUnders to the club as our new Director of Football, also joining the Board of Directors.
He joins us from Enfield Town, where he has been Assistant Manager at Step 2 this season.
Jon brings with him a huge amount of experience at the top end of non-league football and has also lived in Fleet for the past 15 years, further strengthening that local connection to the club.
As a player, Jon spent five years with Farnborough Town in the Conference, before going on to enjoy an outstanding management career.
During his time at Slough Town alongside Neil Baker, he guided the Rebels to two promotions, taking the club from Step 4 to Step 2, along with two memorable FA Cup runs, reaching the Second Round on both occasions before facing League One opposition at home.
Jon will oversee all football matters across both our men’s and women’s senior sides and will play a key role in shaping the club’s future.
We’re incredibly proud to bring someone of Jon’s calibre to Fleet Town.
We’d also like to place on record our sincere thanks to Tommy Taylor for his hard work and dedication over recent seasons as Director of Football, and wish him the very best for the future.
I’d like to thank everyone @ETFCOfficial for making me feel so welcome this season. A great club with a fantastic loyal fanbase!
A tough season for all but it was a pleasure to work with Gav, his management team & the players and I wish everyone the very best for the future 💙
The difference between a good season and a GREAT season is the work you do in the summer!
