The same is true for communities.
New roads.

New structures.

More opportunities.

Families closer to markets.

Kids closer to schools.

On the surface it’s progress.
Underneath: 6am noise, traffic, & health challenges.

Progress rarely arrives clean. Its messy at first.

Take for Example: Road construction in dry season.

I pity the families and traders who can’t pause rent or hunger.

The dust is thick. You can see what people are inhaling.

Shops still open.

Kids still passing.

Faces covered. At least, for those who even care.

Why do we call rainy days “hard times” and sunny days “good times”?

You've heard or even used expressions like “Save for a rainy day” “Make hay while the sun shines”.

From childhood: rain = cancelled plans, mud, traffic, gloom.

Sun = warmth, freedom, bright pics.
