Sometimes I wake up and want to sit with a coffee and just read.
Watch the sun takeover.
Wake my daughter up.
Bezos calls this puttering. One of the richest dudes in the world, when asked what his morning routine is like… says “I like to putter around in the mornings.”
Helps him be more relaxed and enjoy his work.
This morning Kate wanted to sit on the couch and drink orange juice. Sold… we had a great time and I drank pre-workout and she drank orange juice.
Here’s where this gets important:
There’s going to be a synergy between your happiness and your productivity. You cannot do something that makes you deeply unhappy and expect to be productive.
Social media has taken “success leaves clues” to an entirely new level. In many ways this is a good thing. In some ways, this is paralyzing.
I have good friends who wake up at 4am and workout then meetings all day then workout again at 10p then sleep rinse repeat and do it all over again. These guys are lethal and hard to compete with… would not recommend.
I also know a really really really rich fonder who owns a 1B+ organization who wakes up, smokes a cigar, writes for his blog, has 1 meeting a week and gets his management reports via email on Fridays.
There is no one way. There IS, however, YOUR way and what makes you happy.
We should normalize this:
- Less push
- More flow
In this season I know what works for me.
A little bit of grind. A little bit of flow.
I take Wednesdays slower because Monday and Tuesday are wild.
I’m off on Fridays.
Weekends are for the kids & church...
This will change whenever I want it to change.
The fastest hack to productivity is not forcing it. When you chronically struggle to get anything done it is usually an indication that you need more play.
Get it 🚀
it makes sense. make it perfect, get the hardware right, let the enthusiasts cough up $3500 to be early adopters. as costs come down volume goes up all while software gets refined and ready for a truly mass market.
"You are not living life, you live like a robot!" (Vid Banned From YT)
Is what I get when people see my 4am schedule n find out I work 16 hours a day, don't drink, no sugar, dont game, party, indulge...
They are the ones not living n will die only with regret. Here's why
Interesting results which show outlier economics appearing in AI:
Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google will profit from providing the platforms to run the heavy AI models
Small startups will profit from building products in niches for consumers which use those platforms
Funded startups are in the middle in the worst spot: not big enough to build their own infra and uniqur models, too big for a niche to be valuable enough for them
It's disappointing to see that some individuals fail to understand the importance of attending an in-person #WWDC.
As someone who has attended this event three times, I can confidently say that it has always been a life-changing experience for me.
