Today, Russia struck a passenger train in the Kharkiv region with attack drones. In any country, a drone strike on a civilian train would be regarded in the same way – purely as an act of terrorism. There would be no doubt about the classification, neither in Europe, nor in America, nor in the Arab world, nor in China, nor anywhere else. There is, and can be, no military justification for killing civilians in a train carriage. In particular, over 200 people were on the train, and 18 were in the carriage hit by one of the Russian drones. Overall, this attack involving three drones has so far resulted in four confirmed deaths. My condolences to all the families and loved ones. Rescue teams are still searching for four more people, and two others have been injured.

Russia must be held accountable for what it is doing. And this means responsibility not only for strikes against our people, against our life, but for the very ability to carry out such attacks. The Russians have significantly increased their capacity to kill, their capacity to terrorize. They are investing in the progress of terror. And our task – and this should unite all decent people around the world – is to ensure progress in the protection of life. This is possible through pressure on Russia. This is possible by punishing Russia for its actions. This is possible through support for Ukraine. I thank everyone who does not remain silent when they see what Russian terrorists are doing.

András a György se narodili za Rakouska-Uherska. V roce 1918 se ocitli v Československu, 1938 zase v Maďarsku. András skončil ve vězení a brzy v koncentračních táborech. Gyuriho vyhodili z vysoké. Zapojil se do odboje. Pak Andrásovu těhotnou ženu Böske, rodiče, dědečka a další odvezli do Osvětimi. Maminku umučil Mengele, ostatní skončili v plynové komoře. Bratři se dočkali míru. András přežil Osvětim, pochod smrti do Mauthausenu. Zmučené tělo ale vypovědělo službu a v červnu 1945 zemřel v Linci. Gyuri se z rozvalin Budapešti vrátil domů. Nedočkal se ale nikoho. Později se odstěhoval do Prahy, kde potkal o dost mladší Češku Milenu a narodil se můj otec. Všichni účastníci příběhu byli židi. Nikdy více! Pamatujme si šest milionů.

Můj syn má spolužáka. Jeho otec, který léta žil a pracoval v České republice, se v únoru 2022 sebral, odešel na Florenc, sedl na autobus a odjel. Odjel bránit svou zemi, a potažmo i zadek tady pana politika a jeho svobodu šířit nenávistné lži. Syn po celá ta léta vidí právě jen v létě, kdy mohou s matkou jet na Ukrajinu "na dovolenou", jak by řekl tady pan politik. Mohou tam jet jen proto, že jeho matka pracuje v supermarketu nad obvyklý úvazek, a tudíž odvádí do českého rozpočtu zase o něco víc peněz. Osobně si nemyslím, že je u nás příliš pracovitých, šikovných a statečných Ukrajinců. Spíš je u nás příliš politiků, kteří během své kariéry zázračně zbohatli. Co myslíte, pane místopředsedo?

V kurdském městě Kobani na severu Sýrie je naprosto šílená situace. Lidé tam jsou obklíčeni a není pro ně úniku. Ve městě jsou statisíce lidí. Školy jsou plné uprchlíků z okolních vesnic. Ve městě nejde elektřina ani voda. Kobani obklíčily sunnitské islamistické milice nového syrského režimu Ahmada Šary. Uzavřely jedinou příjezdovou silnici M4. Nejde se dostat tam ani ven. „Do Kobaní přijely stovky lidí z okolních vesnic, doufají, že ve městě budou v bezpečí. Bydlí ve školách. Situace je šílená. Lidé se strašně bojí. Není úniku. Z jedné strany Turecko, z druhé se blíží islamisté,“ popsal mi situaci v Kobaní jeden z obyvatel Mahmúd B.
Město a jeho obyvatelé mjí za sebou krutou minulost. V roce 2014 na město zaútočily tisíce džihádistů z ISIS. Kurdové o město bojovali a nakonec ho uchránili, protože Kurdům pomohly leteckými údery USA. Město bylo ale totálně zničené. My jsme tam s Lenkou přijely poprvé v roce 2015 krátce po osvobození, do té doby jsme nic takového nezažily. Ale lidé se vrátili a město si znovu postavili. My to sledovaly celé ty roky, publikovaly jsme desítky reportáží, napsaly knihy Islámskému státu na dostřel I a II. Pro Kobaní jsme vybraly 1,5 mil korun, obnovily školu, nechaly vyrobit 700 školních lavic, pomohly jsme beznohým dětem....prostě lidé v Kobani nám strašně přirostli k srdci pro svoji lidskost.
A teď? Co s nimi bude teď? V nové armádě Šary je mnoho bojovníků al Kájdy a ISIS, ti se budou chtít Kobani pomstít.
Kurdské jednotky slibují, že budou bojovat do posledního muže a ženy. Ale stejně to mají předem prohrané. Bohužel.
Cítím bezmoc a hrozný vztek na celé mezinárodní společenství. Nechali jsme Kurdy krvácet v boji proti teroristům a teď jsme je opustili a předhodili těm, proti kterým bojovali.
Šaru podporuje hlavně Turecko, Katar, S. Arábi, ale i USA a EU. Všichni jmeovaní tam posílají stovky miliony eur - na obnovu Sýrie. Nebo na obnovu sunnitského islamistického stu? Ptám se já.....

A lot of good people are on a hook over Donald Trump. They voted for him for understandable reasons: to stop Hillary of Kamala, to prevent court-packing, to move the embassy to Jerusalem, to reduce regulations.
They rightly applauded his toughening of immigration policy. They began to feel invested in him. Sure, he was boorish and bombastic, but he was delivering most of what he was elected to do. Naturally, they bridled at criticism from people they disliked, some of which was indeed absurd.
But he has plainly now lost his mind. There is no other way of reading “I am going to threaten an ally with invasion because I didn’t get the Nobel Peace Prize”.
It is impossible to exaggerate how high the stakes are. If Putin had put an agent in the White House, what would would be doing differently?
We are talking about the survival of the Western way of life, about the world order of which the United States is the chief exemplar and beneficiary. That, surely, matters more than “liberal tears”. Doesn’t it? Because if it doesn’t, we are all damned.

Podobně dnes vypadají ulice většiny íránských měst: velké množství režimních sil a zahraničních žoldáků, nasazení kulometů a těžké vojenské techniky Revolučními gardami, z reproduktorů se ozývají výhrůžky „Zabijeme výtržníky“. Všude platí stanné právo. Kdokoli se v čase zákazu vycházení objeví venku, riskuje svůj život.

We Iranians are heartbroken and outraged,not because we are weak, but because we are desperate to move the free world to act.
The Islamic Republic is ISIS in power.. The same ISIS that used chemical attacks against schoolgirls.
The same ISIS now slaughtering women, men, children, the elderly, entire families in the streets of Iran.

Destroy ISIS because if you don’t, they will continue butchering people and mass arrests will turn into mass executions.
