@DefendTheSheep Submitting is an act of love, 5:23 clarifies the roles further. Jesus leads as a shepherd, giving himself up to and including death for the sake of his flock/ family. The role of husband is not a position of power, but rather one of sacrifice. It’s beautifully designed by God.

@DefendTheSheep The Biblical model calls husbands to imitate how Christ leads the church, and Jesus leads as a servant to his Bride. Husbands are to lead their families by serving them. It counters the world’s concept of what leadership is.

@osasisHERESY It is 100% true, actually. Problem is many who believe they are saved were never saved in the first place. Better to clarify salvation for the lost than to attack the Church and Bride of Christ.

@edstetzer So many are silent on these issues, but my wife and I have been ridiculed and mocked for our Christian beliefs within our own extended family in a very public way, even when we have taken a very (probably too) gentle approach. Thank you, Dr. Stetzer for this article.
