The CFL made a tremendous accomplishment this week, signing its highest-paying media deal yet. Huge news helping make more teams reach profitability, will increase player pay. I'm really happy to see this increase in financial sustainability.
Many fans are upset about the added subscription paywall for Saturday night games. This response isn't just about subscription fees, but the combination of the subscription fees with other difficult pills they've had to swallow recently. Some CFL fans are feeling increasingly taken for granted.

Not ideal for Hamilton but losing in overtime to a strong team isn't too concerning. I'd like for them to get the ground game going better.
That's awesome, that will be a fun trip!
Looks like that day they play divisional rival in Toronto day just in case you're not aware. I'd hate for you to pull a National Lampoon and go to a closed park.
Sideline point of view of CFL in Hamilton.
This is from week 15 last season: Winnipeg vs Hamilton.
Everyone in a CFL city should go to at least 1 game every year.

@clayconnor A lot of these clips were early game and after a lot left early after a sense of the game being wrapped up after Hamilton's defense was in control for much of the game.
At the 1:19 mark you can see how full it was when they did a tribute for Ted Goveia.

I don't think Dallas is a paper tiger but I agree with you that people implying Vegas didn't earn a spot in the finals are dead wrong.
Colorado getting swept was a shock even with the injuries. Their path was objectively easier in this format, but I would not call it easy.
The issue to me is the current format fails to reward regular season success.
@BakesTakes84@aj_strong The 1-8 had reseeding with cross-divisional play.
Vegas would have had Anaheim in round 1, then most likely Dallas in round 2.
A team of 20 Jon Clinks could have made the conference final with the path Vegas had.
@Snivealive75 That's fair. I do believe it would go a long way for those who are upset if the league acknowledged that some of these changes are difficult for fans to accept.

@Buzios16 I agree. The value of the new deal does give some more confidence in the commissioner's competency for the position. I am curious how/if he will address the fans who are upset, which has not been prioritized enough.
@redinhamilton Thank you. I appreciate it!
It's bizarre how there seems to be an avoidance by many to even acknowledge that a lot of these changes are difficult to accept for some.
Thanks for reading.
@black_cat6666@CFLNewsHub I dislike those changes more than anything else. The 55 and the uprights are pillars of the iconic look of Canadian football for me.
@BrucePierc32933@CFLNewsHub I agree, there is risk with that. I believe the fan frustration could be minimized by simply acknowledging that some of the changes are hard pills to swallow for some.
Jayden Nelson looked like a player with the capacity to work serious minutes in the World Cup for Canada.
He made some great plays in the attacking third in the second half, after Canada had a lackluster-looking offense in the first 45.
