@BriaNicoleArt @ckellett02@BCBSTX It looks like their headquarters are in Chicago, so BCBS Illinois might just be the default. They legitimately had my emails (two that I had used with them in the past) so maybe they got yours from a subsidiary they took over. Sure seems like it was just a bug.
@TeamYouTube Ok, I've gone to his house again, and all 4 Roku devices had changed the playback area to Houston (his home area is Shreveport). I verified separately to update each one back to Shreveport, but next time his IP switches, I'll have to go through this again, because he can't do it.
@TMobile Home Internet and @YouTubeTV you need to fix this. Because of the IP address constantly changing and YTTV using some kind of geolocation, my dad's local channels keep changing between Shreveport, Dallas, and Houston. Not acceptable for "home" Internet. Ever heard of NAT?
But @YouTubeTV could still fix the issue on their end. They already have the billing address to verify the local market. Just turn off geolocation on accounts experiencing this issue. Will they? Of course not.
Well, as expected, T-Mo is not fixing this. Their response: "T-Mobile does not have the ability to change IP from dynamic to static current and due to the dynamic IP offered by home internet your geo location may change which is why you're seeing this effect with YouTube TV."
@Mastercard What is the rule regarding service charges? We have several local restaurants, including one chain, charging up to 4% extra for using credit. Why continue using credit cards if they're all allowed to start doing this? Surely that's against your merchant agreement?
@AmazonHelp You don't need my specific account, device, or app information. This is a widely reported problem by many who have upgraded to Android 12 and are still trying to use apps from your store. This kind of communication is exactly what I'm talking about.
I've tried to be patient, but how long is it going to take for the @amazonappstore to support Android 12? The lack of support knowledge or official response is pathetic. All existing apps are unusable until you fix this. @AmazonAppDev: figure out a way to patch this soon!
@AmazonHelp It seems to be most apps that were installed through the Amazon app store. They all stopped working after the Android 12 upgrade. Seems to be a DRM failure. The app will open for a second and then pops up an error saying it needs to update, and the store no longer shows the app.
@AmazonHelp Mine specifically is Pixel 3a, but it's happening on many devices getting upgraded to Android 12, as reported to Amazon over 3 weeks ago. They claim to be aware and working on it: https://t.co/fJKD5MsCwE
@VZWSupport and @FidelityComm You are both out again in 75633 for the second time since August. Totally unacceptable. You should have redundancy for your backbone, especially after the first time this happened!
@VZWSupport I assume @FidelityComm will be fixing the outage, but it's inexcusable for Verizon to have no backup provider. AT&T and T-Mobile are working.
@VZWSupport Verizon Wireless, but I also have Fidelity for my home Internet. It appears you use their backbone for your service in our area since both are down and this happened in August when somebody supposedly cut a fiber line.
Does @SubwayListens intend to get rid of everything on their menu? Tonight we're being told no chopped salads because it "takes too long." Pathetic, but still not as crazy as getting rid of cheddar cheese. Literally ANY sandwich place could open in my town and would be better.
@VZWSupport and @FidelityComm What is going on in East Texas? My phones AND home Internet are out. I'm guessing the two are related since they both dropped at the same time.
@Loki_EiC @FidelityComm @VZWSupport It seems to have all come back around midnight last night. Pretty alarming that Verizon had no redundancy in case this happened. T-Mobile and AT&T were unaffected.
