An absolutely excruciating moment at the Georgia Supreme Court this week.
Justice Peterson pressed state attorney Deborah Leslie over her citations to cases that apparently don’t exist.
We want the warhorse.
Jesus rides a donkey.
We want the eagle.
The Holy Spirit descends as a dove.
We want to take up swords.
Jesus takes up a cross.
We want the roaring lion.
God comes as a slaughtered lamb.
We keep trying to arm God.
God keeps trying to disarm us.
I’ve recently heard (in person) more than one individual running for United States Congress try to defend the fact that they haven’t voted in years. Between the two candidates, they collectively haven’t voted in over 25 years. One candidate droned on about how millennials haven’t voted because they’ve not felt represented.
I’m sorry, but over 60% of millennials voted in the last national election. That stat rivals Boomers.
The other candidate said he had not voted because he hadn’t “felt the impact” of any policies from the left or the right in his entire adult life. I’d venture to say that’s straight, white, male privilege talking, and it’s cringe.
If you are just now participating in civic life for the first time in your adult life, welcome! Seriously. I’m proud of you.
Also, don’t ask for my vote to represent me in Congress while giving lame excuses for your lack of engagement over the last twenty years.
WHERE ARE THE 2A ACTIVISTS?
WHERE ARE THE “DON’T TREAD ON ME” BROS?
WHERE IS THE NRA STATEMENT CONDEMNING THIS?
WHERE ARE THE “BACK THE BLUE” PEOPLE?
WHERE ARE THE “ALL LIVES MATTER” ADVOCATES?
The worst politicians in America are about to quote Martin Luther King Jr.
You can’t quote “I have a dream” on MLK Day then legislate against that dream every other day of the year.
