@carolynhparrish@AlvinTedjo@dipikadancer@MissCyclingNow There will be no data for the times pedestrians are almost hit by Mississauga motorists rolling through reds to turn right, encouraged by intersections design with wide turning radii.
If only this was possible in Mississauga. Perhaps with a refreshed Council in October, we will no longer see planned, funded cycling infrastructure projects scaled back if not removed for drivers. Tis but a dream.
The MCAC's annual Phil Green Award is being presented at Council today to cycling advocate Rahul Mehta! New awards being presented to Kevin Saldanha of Streetsville Slow Roll and Cycling Without Age for DEI and a youth/school award goes to Lucas Caravaggio. Congratulations! 👏
@raghu_venugopal@abctoronto_ University Ave. hospitals and their staff were a driving force in getting protected bike lanes approved. Here's full-throated support from Sinai Health back in 2020 https://t.co/qSHn09Jrzc
ER doctor here. No EMS crew I have ever received a patient from has complained about a delay on University Avenue due to bike lanes nor have I ever had a patient harmed by such a delay. Fact vs fiction. @abctoronto_
Transportation and Works advised the Cycling Advisory Committee this eve that recently announced funding for cycling infrastructure was spent on 'a study' on pilot bike lanes in Meadowvale that have been cancelled. 🤦♀️
