When I announced my campaign 7 weeks ago, I was so excited to finally share my plan for a safer & better LA with all of you.

From being the first DDA to speak out about George Gascón’s dangerous “day 1” directives & standing up to his failed leadership, it’s been quite a journey for my family & me. I’ve been all over the county from San Dimas to Lancaster, listening & meeting so many of you. And all of you have been right there with me.

I thought now would be a good time to share with those of you who might be new to Team Hatami a little more about my story & what led me to step up and make this run for District Attorney. So much about what I stand for – what I believe in –where I came from, is all in this video.

8th by one outlet. Almost every major US metric ranks CA public schools 29th to 37th. I have kids in public school, so stop with the false info. Do your research.

Be honest about our assessment. Our children deserve a top notch education in the best state in the US.

According to Consumer Affairs, California is one of the worst states to move to in 2026. This is the third year in a row we have been in the top 3 of worst states in the US.

The rankings were based on: affordability; safety; education; healthcare; and, quality of life. CA was dead last in affordability and second to last in safety.

I’m tired of hearing we are the 4th or 5th largest economy, when no one can afford to buy a home. I’m tired of hearing how safe we are - go ask a DDA, Deputy, Officer, 911 operator, firefighter, or Angeleno. I’m tired of having to pay the highest taxes, which keep increasing, but we have the worst education and worst services.

Every elected politician in CA needs to own this, stop blaming others, and fix it.

Seven years ago today (July 6, 2019), we lost beautiful little Noah Cuatro. He was 4-years-old. ❤️‍🩹

Today and every day, we remember little Noah. His life mattered.

On April 30, 2024, Ursula Juarez, Noah’s mother, was sentenced to 22 years plus a life sentence and Jose Cuatro, Noah’s father, was sentenced to 32 years plus a life sentence for the torture and murder of little 4-year-old Noah. They both also waived their rights to appeal.

Sadly, neither ever admitted what happened to Noah or what they did. They only kept saying he drowned in an apartment complex pool (for those who don’t know - my Detectives got hundreds of hours of pool video surveillance. Noah never entered the pool). The autopsy revealed something so much more sinister.

I was driving home from a summer family vacation in San Diego in 2019 when I got the call from LASD Detective Susan Velasquez that Noah was in the hospital. You just don’t ever forget these calls.

As a father, a child abuse prosecutor, and just a human being, I will never forget Noah or his family. My heart still breaks for his brother, sister, grandma and his family.

Today, Roxanne and I and my children are thinking about and praying for Eva, Maggie, Noah’s siblings, Noah’s entire familia, Detectives Susan Velasquez and Judy Luera, Susan Johnson who tried so hard to save Noah and the firefighters and paramedics who responded to the scene.

Eva, Noah’s Grandma, will always remember Noah as a “bright little boy.” He was such a “beautiful little boy.” “Every day, he’d tell me, ‘Grandma, you know what time it is? It’s time for you to hold me and tell me you love me.’”

Noah’s last words to his grandma Eva were, not to ever forget about him. “Promise me, Grandma, don’t forget about me.”

Eva will never forget about you Noah. No one will.

We love you Noah ❤️ Never forget.

Happy 4th of July from the Hatami family to yours! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

As a child, I loved July 4th. I still do. This isn’t a “political” day. It’s also not a day to bash our country. It’s a day ALL of us get to proudly celebrate American patriotism, independence and unity. 250 years! Remember - we are a nation where EVERYONE wants to come here. Be proud of that. Are we perfect? No. But no place on this planet is.

No one CA politician or any politician for that matter can cancel the 4th. Politics isn’t what the 4th is about - so all you politicians can just sit down. This is about the people - all of us. And it’s about our country.

Wishing you and yours a joyful and blessed Fourth of July. Sending all my fellow veterans, my family and friends, and my law enforcement and fire partners lots of love, happiness and prosperity.

July is Law Enforcement Child Month. This month highlights the sacrifices children of LE make, such as missed holidays, interrupted family dinners, no working from home even during Covid, and daily uncertainties while a child’s parent or parents serve the community.

While Roxanne was on patrol training, I had daddy duty everyday, weekends and holidays. I actually cherish the time I got to spend with my son during those first few years. (Roxanne had a better work schedule with our daughter 🙏🏽).

Anyway - I don’t tell my kids enough how much I love and appreciate them and the sacrifices they make living with a prosecutor and police officer.
