Honestly @ladymissazira that number is skewed, go to the ground and ask the actual folks with 2 kids. You will easily rack up 10k or more and thats if there is no emergeny. Take home pay for 20k salary is about 14k. Barely enough to live in KV. And T20 pay the highest tax too

Since people are genuinely asking for where I plucked RM20k from, basically @StatsMalaysia's MyPAKW calculator: 2 adults 2 children basic reasonable income to survive in Petaling district of Selangor.

If you earn more than 3x what DOSM MyPAKW says is reasonable for a family your size, don't tell me you cannot cope with petrol subsidy removal.

Can key in what is reasonable for your area and adjust lifestyle accordingly.
