On May 15, Associated Press leadership cut 20 guild covered staff. Layoffs included U.S. news, photographers, investigations, business and sports across 12 states.
My 12-year run with AP has ended. I was among the reporters who were offered a buyout ahead of promised layoffs. I’m forever grateful for my talented colleagues and the people who trusted me to tell their stories in TN and WV. Stayed tuned for when I sort out the next adventure.
