Biggest game of the year is tonight.
Meanwhile Knicks fans are already acting like they won the damn series because of they were on the better side of the last 90 seconds of Game 1.
The disrespect has been loud.
Media writing us off because of 1 game.
Let them stay on that side and keep that same energy.
Tonight is about 48 minutes of Spurs basketball. Mitch and the guys will make the necessary adjustments.
The worm will turn with the 3 point shooting.
Second chance opportunities will be lessened.
More Dylan.
Disciplined pissed off Vic.
It’s all gas, no brakes tonight.
Defense.
Rebounding.
Physicality.
Execution.
To everyone heading to Frost — I hope you’re ready.
Remind every Knicks fan in attendance whose house they’re standing in.
One possession at a time.
Series is going back to New York 1-1.
Check ball.
LFG
GSG
Not just play better Momma C, we need to cheer better too! Every possession, cheering on our boys in Silver and Black. Spurs fans, we need yall to join us in being LOUD!
Victor’s average shot distance game 1 was from 17 ft out. Highest in all playoffs.
If that continues, it will be hard to overcome in the long run.
He must wreck havoc in the paint on both ends if Spurs want to hoist the Larry.
I’m confident Mitch & the coaching staff will put him in better spots to achieve that.
It starts tomorrow night.
He’s spot on.
The offense was lazy and it was actually a gift to the Knicks considering how ineffective Vic ISOs from 20+feet out have been all year.
Mitch knows this too which makes it more frustrating.
A lot of folks have talked about the Harper/Fox thing as a binary choice between the two when it’s not
Fox/Castle/Harper/Wemby + the hottest player that night between Vassell and Champagnie can and should be the closing lineup
To the Spurs fans who are rightly upset the De’Aaron Fox you saw in Sacramento is not the one you are going to get based on his role.
Fox is a volume scorer and has been stripped down to a pass first off ball guard.
Fox averaged 14.5 FGA this season, lowest since 2018-19.
I get it. And I would have certainly been tempted to play him more down the stretch.
But he was a minus-17 in the second half. It wasn't as slam dunk of a choice as some are making it out to be.
I don't think benching Fox in the Finals is the answer, Spurs won 62 games and are in the Finals with him starting
I think it would bring distraction at this point, but Harper absolutely needs to be playing 35+ minutes going forward
And starting games isn't our problem
