@teddyrayKY Congrats! Huge accomplishment. I started my MBA at 33 (which I feel is pretty normal), couldn’t imagine taking on law school with the whole family.
@seanfrank@seanfrank Congrats on all the success man! Well deserved! Seeing you building in public on here really allows us to see the clear plans you had and commitment to execution of them. The travel line is HUGE!
@domlead A newsletter/sponsor thing was the original intent but I have another project that I can cash flow on much faster that’s much more aligned with my background so I just don’t have the time to work on these
@domlead Yeah WorkFromHome would have been a good one. Closest I have that’s two words is CareersAnywhere but even then would be better as just Career vs the plural
@DomainCX@afternic I have a handful of WFH related dot com domains if you’re interested for your portfolio some of them include
CareerFromAnywhere
HomeBasedOfficeSpace
NewCareerAnywhere
And a few others in that theme. I’m just not the right person to find them their right home

Following up on this, despite seeing a decline in radio advertising spend over the last several years, Radio still is one of the best forms of targeted advertising. According to @cmswire traditional radio reaches 82% of US adults weekly.
Radio offers amazing segmentation possibilities and allows for one of the most targeted approaches available today. Despite the declines in overall ad-spend, marketing to traditional radio customers should be a major consideration in your ad spend plan
Is terrestrial radio dead for marketers?
Audacy, one of the largest radio firms in the US with over 230 stations, filed for bankruptcy this week in a debt-for-equity swap, allowed them to free up nearly $2bn in debt
While this move was aimed at keeping the 2nd largest radio broadcaster in the US operational, it comes on the heels of lower ad spend into the radio market.
What does this mean for the future of radio listenership and the advertising driven business model it is based on?
TikTok (and Instagram Reels) is changing the way music is discovered.
In a study commissioned late last year by TikTok showed that there was a direct correlation between engagement on the platform and an increase in streams from the artist.
The study also found that in the US, users are almost twice as likely to discover music on the platform than average users of other social platforms.
According to an article published by @businessinsider in December, the organic ability for songs to grow in popularity on TikTok has also given way to marketers leaning into influencers to launch music.
The article goes on to discuss how this success has also created tension with labels as this organic growth and direct deals with artists done by TikTok overlaps with artist services offered by the label.
One thing for certain is that these platforms have enabled up-and-coming artists to rocket their careers to the top of the charts.
Where do you see the future of music discovery going next?

Can being a musician make you better at math?
In a short article in Scientific American, the longstanding thought of a link between Musical and Math abilities is questioned and suggests that we should look to other factors such as economic status (higher income households could afford better schools and music lessons)
However, a study from Stanford University suggests that the ability to play an instrument can allow for your brain to fire at faster speeds
So what do you think it is?
