My #SteveWright book is probably only going to be number one in Radio Entertainment books on Amazon for about three seconds so I’m posting this pronto!
@JonathanRuffle He was, always rushed home from school to listen to his shows….loved everything he done….he was a one off. And you Johnathan thanks for a brilliant book I’ve read it twice…Regards.X
I'm in Weimar where there are traces of the people I wrote about everywhere. This was Hedwig Hetemann's shop where she repaired toys for children. It was destroyed by the SA in the pogrom of 1938 because she was Jewish. Nobody helped her. She became withdrawn and isolated. 1/2
Hi @vgeller looking forward to meeting you too, loving your talk about Never Being Boring (amongst all the other great stuff) on your highly informative website as I write #radio#communityradio https://t.co/NjJIIlnJTF
Yep, as I say in the book, Johnny was inevitably the irritable headmaster to some of our more stupid pranks, but behind the scenes he was defending Radio 1 from all sorts of attacks from inside and outside the BBC. If you like 80s and 90s music, you owe it to him.
@JonathanRuffle Hi, just finished your Steve Wright book. Excellent. I was a big Radio 1 fan in the 80s. I never realised before why SWITA sounded so much better than every other show, so much prep went into it. The Warren There was just so much work involved.
Cliff you have no idea how grateful I am that someone is listening to the audiobook. I was amazed at how often I fluffed and how many odd noises my body was determined to make. And no, the irony that a lot of the book was about editing stuff to make it shine wasn't lost on me
I’ve finally finished reading @JonathanRuffle ‘s excellent book about Steve Wright during the late 80s/early 90s. It made me laugh, gave me more reasons to love Steve and feel sad that’s he not doing a bank holiday special today. …hello?

Thanks Linda - I like it too! First I looked at the covers of similar books to mine, then mocked one up on Canva, and then asked a professional to complete the job. Unfortunately he’s been so successful he’s moved onto bigger things but his design sensibility really improved it
@JonathanRuffle Wow, your book cover is amazing! It really makes me curious about the story. I can tell a lot of thought went into this, such impressive work!
