Winner will be drawn on Monday Aug 10th.
I have been playing Flesh and Blood actively for few years, and I am also highly involved in the Korean FAB community. However, I still do not clearly understand the relationships between the major characters or the story that is currently unfolding.
Even the short story videos published on the official channels seem to assume that viewers already understand the existing lore. As a result, it is often difficult to understand what is happening or why the events are important.
Under these circumstances, when the developers discuss topics such as a “ninth region” or the fate of certain characters as though every player already understands the context, these references do not feel like meaningful world-building. To many new players, they are simply unfamiliar names without sufficient explanation.
When even long-term and highly active players cannot follow the story, the problem is not necessarily a lack of interest from the players. It suggests that there is a problem with how the story is being communicated. Rather than expecting players to study the lore in advance, FAB should provide enough context and narrative structure to make people interested in its world.
