In prep for making my final year film, I’ve spent the past year watching tons of stop motion short films. Thought I’d post daily to a thread highlighting some of my favourite’s. Trying to stay sane in these very trying times. Feel free to share & post yours too!
@TimAnimation@josephwallaceuk@DelavalFilm Really great to work with you and so many other great animators and crew on this project! Very happy the world is getting to see it now!
@josephwallaceuk@pixlpa Haha, it will next get easier, especially for adverts. Im now seeing cameras being developed with square sensors that will adapt to the different aspects without reducing quality.
Had a great time a couple of weeks ago down in London for the British animation awards!
Fantastic to have been part of the team nominated for ‘Wild Card’ award for “Squib” @one_6th
Thanks to Helen, Kieron and the whole @BAAwards team for a wonderful night.
See you in two years!
Also in the morning helped out some students by having a quick improv workshop on lighting/cinematography to help on their stop motion projects. Really fun day!
Had a great time on Friday @25fpsstaffs @staffsuni Giving a guest lecture to the Masters & BA students about what I’ve been up to since graduating, setting up a studio, being freelance, finding & dealing with clients and general advice for students.
Crew: Director @josephwallaceuk , Art Direction Alexa Hartle, Sound William Davies, Art Assistant Maddie Branagan, Production Managed by lea judge and produced by @carlamooney & Delwyn Mooney at @CardelEnt
It’s great seeing my studio in action at the end of last year for a series of posts for LinkedIn.
Really fun project to animate & light, I even tried my hand at motion graphics when editing!
@See_Creature Haha. I haven’t got that. When buying some of that parts there was a key ignition switch that appeared in suggestions. did cross my mind to add it in.
It is a proper Peli case so can be locked and is waterproof and fairly indestructible when transporting.
@See_Creature Thanks designed to be be practical but also designed it to look cool. I do keep flipping the flight switches as its satisfying. You can't see it in the photo but the fan holes are shaped like apertures.
