Everyone talks about filling empty cups, but some cups are cracked. Some are broken.
You can pour all the encouragement, support, and inspiration you want, but until you address the cracks caused by things like stress, burnout, lack of respect, low morale, and trauma, it will keep leaking out.
Real leadership doesnโt just pour. It helps people mend.
This is one of my favorite runs in recent memory. 15th-seeded Ronnie Perry took out #2 Sorensen, #3 Kolodzik, #7 Leeth and #10 Tsirtsis en-route to the finals. Excited to watch #RippinRon at @CWAWrestle in two weekends.
As a kid I struggled with nerves before a lot of matches. I used to catch myself wanting the easiest route possible for a win. This lead me to start overvaluing the win, which lead me to being scared to lose. Be excited for the actual wrestling, and good things happen.
Good day of wrestling for our Jr High wrestlers. The team placed 10 wrestlers, had 5 individual champions, and won the Berks Catholic team title. #Champions

The value of sports is that they BUILD your character. The reality is that they will also REVEAL your character. Nobodyโll remember how many points you scored, but theyโll remember how hard you worked/what kind of teammate you were. Like it or not, your character is your legacy!
Best thing/story Iโve seen so far on my camp tour. A little backstory. @CoachTomlin was driving in his car when he saw these kids fighting in the street. Tomlin pulls over and the kids, in obvious shock at who stepped out of the car, stopped fighting. (Read full story below)
Leaders (coaches, parents, teachers, CEOs) take care of everyone else but who takes care of the leaders?? It can be very lonely for our leaders. So #Teammate - today reach out to your leaders and check in on them.
It's not easy. It might take longer than you expect. There will be days you question yourself and wonder if it's worth it or if you are on the right path. Trust your gut. Pay your dues. Work hard (and smart) and eventually success will come.
@KCapLiteracy@EDDeptEtown@EtownCollege Be flexible (Caprinoโs advice), be coachable, and be encouraging to students AND staff.
Being flexible is the biggest one though. Special education is a giant puzzle, just roll with the punches and ask questions.
