As a Nigerian, Stand With Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu

The sudden spike in terror activities after Peter Obi's Washington, D.C., trip between September 23-25, which led to the rash of genocide claims against Nigeria beginning from September 26, 2025, is not coincidental. These attacks are coordinated and designed to achieve a specific anti-Nigerian objective.

These are the same tactics that desperate politicians and their foreign handlers used against President Jonathan to achieve regime change in 2015.

We are a very emotional people who often emote rather than reason. But let us calm our excitable nerves for a minute or two and reason.

In a study published by Channels Television last year, we observed a decline in terrorist activities in Nigeria. All of a sudden, and seemingly out of nowhere, they just increased in tempo just as local and international actors started a coordinated media campaign against Nigeria?

Yes, the natural reaction of most of our people is to lash out, insult, and call for a change in leadership, but let us consult our intellect.

Let the thinkers amongst us recall the quote by James Bond creator Ian Fleming, who said:

"Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."

After a lull in school abductions for over a year, how can we suddenly have two school abductions, a General killed, a church attacked during a livestream, and police officers attacked or killed?

This is too coordinated to be coincidental.

This is the playbook that was successfully used in Libya and Sudan. Look at those countries today.

The plan is not to make us go the way of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger; it is to go the whole hog and convert Nigeria into a basket case of sectarian and ethnic fighting. If we allow the experiment to make Nigeria the third in the series, we will certainly regret it.

I urge all Nigerians to stand by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and be loyal citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This series of events is too sudden, coordinated, and well-organised to be the result of happenstance.

It is time for us to be circumspect with our words and actions and stand by our country in its time of need.

These calls for the President to resign now are sponsored by foreign interests and their local puppets. We have an election in fourteen months. If you dislike the current administration or feel that they are responsible for this sudden escalation of insecurity, wait until then and exercise your democratic rights.

Dear Armed Forces,

First, never use the word "unexpected" in your communique. This is an era defined by data and predictive analytics, and such a word, especially from an Intelligence Agency is a mark of gross incompetence. That word must never appear in your vocabulary again.

Now, to the matter of recruitment. You are a force of just about 16,000 personnel, many of whom are currently underutilized. Yet somehow, you managed to sell hundreds of thousands of application forms. How? And more importantly, why? This leads to my second point:

NO MONEY SHOULD EVER BE MADE DIRECTLY FROM A JOBSEEKER, worst of all, by a State agency. That is ethically indefensible.

What you’ve created appears less like a recruitment exercise and more like a commercial enterprise. If this is indeed a business, then you must be held accountable for it.

Let me not belabor the obvious but you must know that the sight of hundreds of thousands of citizens stranded on the streets, disrupting livelihoods on a Wednesday morning, without prior notice to residents, is a serious display of disregard. The Military must not be an instrument of intimidation. You are entrusted with the protection of this territory. That mandate must be upheld with dignity and discipline. No Ghanaian citizen should ever lose their life due to leadership failure, especially within the military.

Now, the solution.
Cancel this recruitment process entirely. Replace it with a rolling, fully online system governed by clear, transparent criteria. Applicants should be randomly assigned to “Military Candidate Assistants” who must never have physical contact with candidates until the official physical assessment stage. This current process is inefficient and disgraceful. End it immediately.

My sincere condolences to the families of the six.
