@Metry_Cobbs Was just saying the whole team looks out of sync. Between that int by Dak, the drops by GP, the defensive breakdowns on that last drive, and the penalties we look just plain sloppy. Not to mention our o line struggled to get push in the run game. We're lucky to only be down 7
@PerryJones35410 @RonMartin1989@HalfCourtHoops ...losing track of the clock and allowing the extra 4-5 seconds to run off before fouling. In the end you just have to trust your teammate makes the FTs. I do think this showed Cam's willingness to make what he believes to be the right play, which I personally think is impressive
@PerryJones35410 @RonMartin1989@HalfCourtHoops I think this is the rare case where both plays are the right one. I absolutely agree you don't pass up the easy putback with the defender displaced, but I also think it's high IQ to bleed maximum clock and get into the late free throw game. I think we benefitted from UVA (cont)
@TheDevilsDen I think this year's team is a total 10 defensively, while last year was closer to a 9. The difference in my opinion: we won the ACC last year without Coop, whereas I couldn't imagine doing the same this year without having Cam offensively. I think last year's team gets the nod
@BlueDevils I truly believe has the makeup to be this team's Quinn Cook. Obviously he has a very different skill set, but we've seen moments when he makes a play when we need it, offensively and defensively. Veteran guards with big game experience are invaluable come March
@DukeEchoes I would imagine he only comes back if he declares for the draft and gets feedback that he would be a top-10 lock next year if he improves his outside shooting touch. Obviously that feels very unlikely, but man year 3 Pat would be damn fun to witness
@BlueDevils Simply put: Toughness. They have some offensive deficiencies that would sink less mentally tough teams vs the caliber of teams they've played this year. Scheyer was the absolute best case scenario post-Coach K in part because his guys buy in to his vision. They do not quit on him
@Lord_Dylly Gotta say the way the FO is moving has me cautiously optimistic that they're gonna do the right things to maximize this window with Dak. That's one less position of potential need and they got it done quietly. Still a lot of moves they need to make but this is a damn good start
@Lord_Dylly I just want to say you're by far my favorite storyline contributor. You have an obvious wealth of knowledge, but I appreciate most that you lean to logic instead of emotion and you try to find solutions. I want to give the credit you deserve in case no one else does. Cheers dude
@BryanBroaddus hello sir. Love the analysis you and Voch have been rolling out recently. What would you say is the Cowboys biggest positional need after the trade deadline? I'd love more talent anywhere in the secondary, but I think RT has become a sneaky big area of need also.
Brent Pry seems to be a really good man and one you want to root for...but it's time to pull the plug on his time in Blacksburg. VT football isn't what it used to be, but my God this is embarrassingly bad
