Once in a generation, the universe gives us a comet. The whole world stops to look up at it, to marvel, and to be inspired.
The U.S. is living in a bigger than ever comet moment right now.
This summer marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the World Cup has brought the planet to our doorstep.
People from every continent are walking our streets, standing in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, hearing the key ideas from the Declaration of Independence.
All people are created equal. Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The powers of government are derived from the consent of the governed, not from kings or any other form of autocratic government.
Those words changed the world.
In the 250 years since, more than a hundred countries have written their own Declaration of Independence, echoing ours. We handed the world a template for freedom. And that template is with us today on this 250th anniversary.
People want to come to the United States because they believe in those words.
They believe in an American ideal that has never been completely realized, and yet it’s something we’ve always marched toward until now.
Today’s U.S. government is trying to reverse that march.
Instead of promoting the American ideal, it ravages the White House, stages cage fights on its own lawn, gives us tanks rolling down Constitution Avenue, and then uses taxpayer money to gild the people’s house in gold, pollute the reflecting pool, and remake the capital city to reflect the president’s personal whims.
But our Declaration of Independence is as relevant today as it was 250 years ago. Let’s not forget that.
What the government fails to do, we can do.
We the people.
You can do. We can spread the word.
Every chance you get, talk about the Declaration of Independence.
Tell those World Cup fans. Tell your neighbors. Tell everybody you see or network with that we today are experiencing an incredible moment in history, a larger than ever comet moment.
Like the men and women who have fought to defend our rights for two and a half centuries, today we, you and I, are called on to defend the rights so eloquently expressed in the Declaration of Independence.
Let’s get out there and do our jobs, and let’s enjoy doing it.
Feel the pleasure. Feel the honor.
Feel how blessed you are to be alive at this time and part of the making of history.
The discussion about @elonmusk's comments on humanitarian aid has mostly focused on our values, which seems right. But note that USAID served our interests as well as our values, by protecting us from diseases like the Ebola outbreak now ravaging Congo.
Putting people to death is cruel and inhuman, and it has been a failure at every level.
I urge all States to join the overwhelming global consensus: the death penalty must end everywhere, for all offences.

The number of financial side deals the Trump family is running is so shocking it can sometimes be hard to track.
According to @Reuters, their crypto ventures alone have delivered $2.3 billion to Trump & co. while creating a similar-sized loss for investors.
Donald Trump is a court-adjudicated rapist.
This is not speculation.
It is not conjecture.
It’s not a Left-Wing talking point.
This is documented, established fact.
It was unequivocally declared by a judge.
It has been repeatedly upheld in the courts.
He is a rapist.
And to any decent human being or professed Christian, that would have been a deal-breaker.
It wasn’t for them...

Netanyahu has said he will go to New York even though Zohran Mamdani said he would arrest him if he does.
Like if you want to see Netanyahu arrested.
RT if you'd personally turn up to make sure it happened.
James Talarico: “Every bar has that one guy. He’s loud, he’s obnoxious, he makes all the women in the bar feel uncomfortable. He hears you say your name to the bartender and then adds his drink to your tab when you’re not looking. That’s Ken Paxton. And I don’t know about y’all, but I’m done picking up his tab”
This is Massive 🔥
🇺🇸Trump at 6:00 PM: "Housing affordability bill? Not doing it. Not important."
🇺🇸Zohran at 7:00 PM: "People are drained from struggling to survive. Trump’s got billions for illegal wars, billions for Iran, and zero for Americans."🔥
Zohran Mamdani is now Trump’s Biggest Nightmare 💪
This reporter caught Justice Clarence Thomas in the halls and asked him who he had been speaking to and if it was Speaker Johnson and he kept acting like he couldn’t hear her question because he knows he was speaking with Speaker Mike Johnson. He continues to lie just like Trump
🚨MORE OF THIS: Gov. JB Pritzker humiliates Donald Trump on LIVE TV:
Pritzker: "Donald Trump is a cheater. He cheats on his wives. He cheats at golf. And now he's trying to cheat the American people out of their votes.” DAMN.

Da kommt bestimmt so manch Leckeres zurück - Marmeladen, Säfte, Kuchen usw.
Also, WIN-WIN für alle 🤝
