In 2010, after a training session, a young Manchester City supporter asked Mario Balotelli for an autograph. When Balotelli asked why the boy wasn’t at school, the child revealed he was skipping due to bullying. Without hesitation, Balotelli invited the boy into his Maserati, picked up his mother, and drove them straight to the school.

There, in front of the principal, Balotelli made the bully promise to never torment his classmate again. Having experienced bullying as a child in Italy due to his skin color, Mario empathized deeply with the boy’s struggles.

His kindness off the pitch is a legacy far greater than any goal he scored.
