Im working on building our online army for the election in November to make sure we can't be silenced so If you plan to stay here through November and help Joe Biden win, help me get everyone who's voting blue get to 1k followers so that as many of us are as interconnected as possible, and we can all share pro-democracy content as far and wide as possible.

Here's how we get started. If you have less than 1000 followers:

• hit the retweet button (yes, we're still calling them tweets)
• reply with the hashtag #NoDemUnder1k
• find other accounts with less than 1k followers in the replies, in the retweets, or using the hastag and follow them
• follow everyone that follows you back.

If you have more than 1k followers:

• retweet this
• retweet some of the replies containing the hashtag
• follow a few accounts and help them grow their audience

To make it as easy as possible for yourself and everyone else:

• have a profile pic, even if it isn't of you
• put something in your bio identifying you, preferably #NoDemUnder1k
• people can't find you if your account is private
• be patient, its going to take weeks for us to find enough of each other to make this work

It's also important that you vet who you follow because, inevitably, trolls and inauthentic accounts will try to weasel their way in, so make sure you block anyone who does. Also check the "lists you're on" and block the trolls

Believe it or not, it wasn't that long ago that I only had a few hundred followers. We all have something positive to contribute, we all have a voice, and we can all help each other use this platform to share each other's voices. I will try to follow a few hundred of you back every day and the easiest way I can find you is if you retweet this.

Keep in mind that Twitter will only let you follow fewer than 400 accounts every 24 hour period, so take your time.

If we do this right, we can crush it on here in November and save our democracy.
