Zcash functions like digital gold because its mathematical scarcity and zero-knowledge fungibility make it a sovereign reserve to hold, not a speculative trade.
Just as gold is hoarded for its physical untraceability and durability, Zcash is held in cold storage as an immutable, untainted reserve against monetary debasement and surveillance.
History doesn’t repeat. It rhymes.
In 2017, Bitcoin went from about $800 to almost $20,000. The world learned the story: 21 million coins, halvings, digital gold.
It also learned the hole. Bitcoin is not private. Every payment leaves a trail. Satoshi said a private version would be better. The math wasn’t ready. So Bitcoin shipped without it.
Zcash is what got built when the math arrived.
Same 21 million cap. Same halving clock. Proof of work. Plus a shield: zero-knowledge proofs that prove a payment is real without showing who paid whom, or how much.
That is the second-mover advantage. Nobody needs another lecture on scarce digital money. They need the missing feature.
Don’t mix up the 2016 launch spike with the real cycle. ZEC printed thousands of dollars on no liquidity, then washed out to $30–50. In 2017 it ran with the market toward $500–$900. Then a long winter. Down to about $16 in 2024.
Then the rhyme got loud. 2025 was a monster year. Now, August 2026, ZEC is around $850–$870. About 16.9 million of 21 million coins are already out. Roughly 29% of supply sits shielded.
Bitcoin taught the world scarce money.
Zcash is scarce money that can shut the blinds.
Not a photocopy of $800 to $20,000. A second verse.
Study Zcash. #ZCASH zcash:native
Zcash narrative:
2025: Privacy
2026: Privacy at planetary scale
Eventually, the world won't measure Zcash against Bitcoin. It will measure Bitcoin against Zcash.
We set the standard.
Onward.
$ZEC
Since the beginning Bitcoin has been on a cycle that has determined the crypto market ups and downs.
One coin has changed and defied all odds in Bitcoin's latest bear market that started October 6th, 2025.
Since October 6th, Zcash has risen 408.60%
No other coin has ever went against Bitcoin in the history of crypto currency in a bear market.

1/ GM Zcash & Privacy friends.
Zcash isn’t “another coin.” It isn’t “a better Bitcoin.”
It’s the half Bitcoin was always missing.
Here’s what that means, no jargon. 🧵
2/
Bitcoin solved who controls the money, no bank, no middleman, you hold your keys.
But it never solved who sees the money. Every transaction is public forever. Anyone can see what you own, who you paid, how much.
Zcash finishes the sentence Bitcoin started: control AND privacy.
3/
With Zcash YOU choose: transparent, like Bitcoin or shielded, where sender, receiver, and amount are hidden using math, not trust, not a company promise.
Not secrecy for its own sake. Choice. The freedom to transact without leaving a permanent public record of your life.
4/
For a long time that choice barely got used. Most $ZEC sat in transparent addresses, privacy was available but idle.
That’s flipped. The shielded pool just crossed $1B+ in value, with 25–30%+ of all ZEC now actually shielded. People are choosing the private option, not just holding it as an option.
5/
Why the shift now? Two real developments:
→ June: a serious bug in the shielded pool’s cryptography got found and patched before it was exploited
→ July: the “Ironwood” upgrade shipped a new, independently verified shielded pool, rebuilding trust from the ground up
Boring infrastructure work. But it’s the kind that matters.
6/
Then a big one: on Aug 25, Grayscale’s ZCSH started trading on NYSE Arca, the first US ETF giving regular brokerage investors direct exposure to ZEC.
What that means: you don’t need a crypto exchange or self-custody wallet to hold ZEC exposure anymore. Wall Street just said “this is a real asset.”
7/
The market reacted fast, ZEC ran from ~$489 to an 8-year high near $888 in about a week, cooling into the $700s since.
Heads up: a lot of that move was leveraged futures, not people buying and holding. Expect chop, not a straight line.
8/
The takeaway: Zcash isn’t back because of hype. It’s back because the missing half of Bitcoin, money you control and money that doesn’t broadcast your life, finally has real infrastructure and real access behind it.
That’s not speculation. That’s freedom, finished.
Pivot to Zcash. Encrypt your assets.
The ZCASH narrative to me is very simple and this is why I own the asset. It's a bet I want to make. zcash:native
People describe Zcash as “private Bitcoin.”
It isn’t literally Bitcoin, and it has its own history, governance, adoption challenges and risks. But psychologically, it occupies a category that the market may have dramatically undervalued:
A scarce, censorship-resistant monetary asset with an optional privacy layer.
And I believe the psychology around Zcash is changing.
For years, crypto became distracted.
We moved from sound money into yield farming, leverage, meme coins, celebrity tokens and endless new blockchains promising slightly faster transactions.
Crypto became an industry—but somewhere along the way, part of it lost the original mission.
Now the pendulum may be swinging back.
Zcash Is Quietly Building Its Case for a New All-Time High ($5,941)
zcash:native just did something most altcoins haven’t managed in years: it’s up over 1,700% in the last 12 months and still trading roughly 85% below its 2016 peak of $5,941. That gap is the opportunity.
Here’s the setup:
Privacy is becoming a feature, not a taboo.
Over 30% of ZEC’s total supply now sits in shielded pools, an all-time high for private holdings. As surveillance concerns grow across finance, a battle-tested privacy coin with real zero-knowledge tech (zk-SNARKs) is positioned exactly where demand is heading.
The tech is evolving, not standing still. The “Crosslink” upgrade, a move toward Proof of Stake alongside the existing Proof of Work chain, signals active development, better scalability, and a lower energy footprint. This isn’t an abandoned 2016 project; it’s a protocol still shipping.
The chart backs it up. ZEC just hit an eight-year high near $883 after a ~46x rally off its lows. Momentum, historically, tends to attract more momentum and with the ATH sitting at $5,941, there’s a lot of room before “priced in” becomes a real conversation.
Scarcity math. Only 21 million ZEC will ever exist, with ~17 million already circulating. As shielded adoption grows and supply tightens, basic scarcity dynamics start to matter more.
The ATH isn’t just a number on a chart, it’s a psychological magnet. Assets that show this kind of structural strength after nearly a decade of dormancy have a way of surprising people on the way up.

@Notnow2dayok@AshCrypto As a national security policy, I would not want my country's spending to be recorded on a public ledger for all to see, especially my defense spending.
Zcash. It is what bitcoin was supposed to be.
Imagine if Jack added a narrative about Swiss-bank security and individual rights to financial privacy to his speech. They are topics equally important and historically vital for individual wealth. But if he did, he would no longer be talking about bitcoin, huh? He'd be describing Zcash... while bitcoin was, and is, a beautiful model, Zcash is the perfection of that model. Satoshi would agree. Zcash will do to other crypto what the smart phone did to the flip phone. We're not bullish enough.
2018. I sent 0.5 BTC to a guy for a used mountain bike.
2026. Bored on a Sunday, I paste his wallet address into a block explorer.
I can see still see how much BTC he has left. I can see he bought a Tesla in 2021. I can see he panic-sold half his stack in the 2022 crash. I can see his current balance, down to the satoshi.
I know more about this stranger’s finances than my own accountant does.
All from one bike payment. Eight years ago.
Now imagine I’d paid him in Zcash.
I’d see… nothing. Just a shielded transaction and a receipt that says “payment sent.” No balance, no history, no Tesla, no panic sell. He could be broke or a billionaire, the chain doesn’t say.
Bitcoin: your financial life, permanently public, forever searchable.
Zcash: a payment is just a payment.
Privacy is normal.
there will not be even a day of rest until top 3
the road will be volatile and full of ups and downs
but this is correct from first principles and fundamentally aligned with everything in crypto and must work
encrypted money for all will be the 2nd amendment of the internet
@tushar_jain@cryptomanran BTC currently winning the popularity contest. ZEC is the ugly duckling becoming a swan. Eventually, money will go to where it is treated best.
