Been Head of a school of 1000 children for 3 years.
The entire time has been spent cutting costs.
Gone from 8 Senior Leaders down to 1.
Cut several teaching staff. Total cuts of £1 million.
It is still not enough and deficit budget beckons.
I need people out there to know this.
Fossil fuel must be ended, on a schedule. Something world leaders want to wiggle out of. But if we fail, then irreversible global heating continues at pace and we risk losing pretty much everything - and fossil fuels will end due to collapse. They will end, one way or another.
No viable path left to 1.5C.
From today’s White House briefing: “Under President Biden, oil and natural gas production has increased, and we are on track to hit the highest production in our country’s history next year.”
Utterly tragic for the Earth and our future. Words fail.
National laws are needed to make COP pledges a reality.
Legislation to lock 1.5°C and nature's restoration in UK law is ready to go.
We now need every party, MP and Peer to back the #CEBill as it moves through Westminster.

In the midst of a #climateemergency, Imperial Oil made $6.2 billion this year - almost *4 times* more than last!
We cannot expect the arsonists to put out the fire.
Will the Prime Minister stop subsidizing these companies and place a windfall tax on their excess profits?
"The interconnection between human health and planetary health is more evident than ever before."

"We can today say scientifically, without any hesitation, that anything beyond 2°C of global warming is nothing but catastrophic. Every tenth of a degree matters." Important exchange with @UNFCCC & @rkyte365 on unpacking the #ClimateEmergency.

Governments can continue to green light new fossil fuel projects while making vacuous net zero pledges because there are no global regulations on production. No international cooperation to regulate the supply side.
@fossiltreaty is changing that. 🧵
Dear @elonmusk
I use @Twitter to provide users information about #climatechange
I have a #bluetick because I am a reliable source of information
This is not my day job - I do it for the public good so why charge me $8 monthly fee? https://t.co/FPeGTkm1O6
So the final figures are in! Yesterday, wind generated 20896MW in the 12:30 settlement period. That's OVER HALF (53%) of all of GB's electricity. Overall, it was a VERY green day - 70% of energy was zero carbon (Nuclear, Wind, Hydro, Solar & Storage)🌬️🍃🇬🇧🥳#netzero#energy
We've just improved on our single largest System 002 catch record. On October 24, we extracted 10,755 kg of plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch after less than five days.
Yo @elonmusk while I have your attention, why should people pay $8 just for their app to get bricked when they say something you don’t like?
This is what my app has looked like ever since my tweet upset you yesterday. What’s good? Doesn’t seem very free speechy to me 🤔
BREAKING: We discovered @Chevron pays huge sums to manipulate Google search engines to defame me. The company continues a desperate campaign to retaliate for being held accountable for destroying the Amazon.
Corporate abuse of tech platforms to target activists must be stopped.
It's not just that many "compostable" bioplastics don't compost as they should. Most are likely to be more environmentally damaging than the fossil fuel plastics they replace.🧵
The CEO of PPG, a Fortune 500 paint company, was asked if he would lower prices if costs come down. His response:
“This is the new price and if you don't like it, please don't place purchase orders.”
Corporations are using inflation as cover to price gouge the people.
