@TeamPummelParty@fabtcg But I alsdo don’t know how they can overhaul a class with the siloed design of current sets. It would need to be cycle of siloed set -> armory deck origins -> mastery pack set. It could be done if lss focused on reworking pieces instead of tiger trap and far flight longbow.
@TeamPummelParty@fabtcg Agreed. Ranger needs a total overhaul and it would be really interesting to move some of the design to a beastmaster type of character. Also they should make the side quest for aim more rewarding. It started very well with murky and stone rain but then it just stopped.
@SigmaOrDoS@james_white@mat_matfe3 If we go by what they did in omens other brutes will probably get a legendary, a magestic and some rares. Not much but it’s better than nothing. Levia will still be hard but that’s what’s fun about the hero. It’s the only brute to spike my interest for example.
@SigmaOrDoS@james_white@mat_matfe3 But I am not counting on a ranger so soon next year. Even if we get one with the cards the class has gotten recently and the state both active rangers came out the playability part will always be a question until we get the full set reveal.
@SigmaOrDoS@james_white@mat_matfe3 True. I think anyone can agree that brute is one of the classes that need help to compete. Ranger is by far the class that has been let down the most and needs most help but brutes come right after and so will ninjas after the draconics LL.
@SigmaOrDoS@james_white@mat_matfe3 Yeah I agree. Still I think brutes actually got some support lately, the cards from SUP were quite good, Kayo was a force in the meta for some time before LL’ing and the expansion slots have been good. The class still needs more support of course.
@SigmaOrDoS@james_white@mat_matfe3 Thanks for the correction. Still one doesn’t make that much of the difference.
Funny enough the first thing that came into my mind was “Outlier”
@Nathan_TCGz Thank your for your takes. Yeah what happened this Tuesday night wasn’t an attack on the product (at least by a lot of us) but it was the grain that tipped the scales after a long time of being let down. I never expected to have so many people defending rangers.
@ACHILLES2032@james_white@kirarism Chain reaction to play plan for the worst and get both tiger trap and rainbow goo trap. Get all 3 to trigger in the same chain link on stream. The prize? A signed half torn far flight long bow.
@james_white@mat_matfe3 It has just gotten to the point where the community is tired of waiting to ultimately fell left behind. We are still paying for Lexi’s crimes when a lot of us weren’t even playing back then.
@james_white@mat_matfe3@james_white it’s not just about timeline. Ranger was featured twice in the last 3 years, SEA is more recent but it includes too many reprints which translates to the second smallest cardpool loosing only to the newest class. The quality of support is also inferior to others.
@fabtcg After a full year of irrelevancy, only 2 legal heroes, Far Flight Longbow, bad expansion-slot after bad expansion-slot,and pen giving us little to nothing for Ranger…
This is the final gut punch.
Please, talk to us. Tell us what your plan is for Rangers.
I’m done coping.
@fabtcg Supporting assassin like the class hasn’t been represented at top meta since nuu released is a total joke. Where is the ranger support, you know the class that has had 0 representation in top 8’s for over a year?
@HelpMeJace Lastly, I actually really like what they did with this announcement. More BNRs like this please—drop a big list, give us three months to use those cards and then we can say “adieu.”
@HelpMeJace I honestly wouldn’t mind rotation, but not in the usual way other TCGs do it. I don’t even think LSS can handle a typical rotation—some classes only get one new rep every two years.
Here are two ideas I’d actually like to see:
@HelpMeJace The point is: when the hero eventually comes back, their specs come back too… but those connected staple cards stay gone forever. And we could even extend it—so some cards get tied to their whole set instead of a hero. When that set fully rotates, those cards rotate out with it.
