Had a tweet in the drafts for HT about the use of their fb’s and how it’s disrupting Villa off the ball, but also how Rice dropping into the first line platforms this.

Those tensions — Villa not knowing whether to jump or stick — starts from that, forcing them to give up territory (also worked in their favour tbf, they look sharp on transition, just lacking that final moment).

Be interesting to see if + how they [Villa] adapt to this in the second half.
