Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
Nearly every video on here I choose to watch is now immediately followed by one showing people at our worst.
This is a business decision to exploit our physiology for our attention, and it will make us sick.

People trying to sell you on AI “therapy” think constant availability is an advantage. It’s not.
One major purpose of psychotherapy is to develop the ability to have more meaningful relationships. That requires
👉empathy for the other person
👉ability to take their perspective
👉accepting that they can’t and won’t always meet your needs
👉ability to delay gratification
👉ability to the tolerate unavoidable frustrations and frictions—because the other person is a separate human being with their own needs/wants/human limitations & failings
Real psychotherapy builds exactly these capacities. It opens the door to connection and intimacy.
AI’s constant availability is at direct cross purposes. It does not develop your ability to connect with others.
On the contrary: it trains you to be a self-absorbed narcissist who expects instant gratification and treats others as an extension of yourself.
One day, there will be a serious research study comparing long-term effects of AI pretend “therapy” with legitimate, skilled psychotherapy.
It will show deterioration in attachment and intimacy—and living life with a sense of dignity, meaning, and purpose.
Mark my words.
