@halsey talking about how ppl form their opinion of them based on which song they hear first, my first interaction was on tumblr, it was Room 93, it was “Somewhere”! It was spending over €1k to go see a singer nobody had ever heard of!
Like @halsey saying her fave song of her own being Nightmare is so real! That song hit soooo different! I’m pretty sure when the music video came out I was freaking out and my dad didn’t get it, until I showed him the video…
Plus it really helped when Lindsey Buckingham played on Darling, coz I mean amazing song plus both me and my dad are huge Fleetwood Mac fans so it was like my dads faves joining my fave and just being amazing 👌🏻
And I knew once he seen the video he would understand it. Coz my dad is literally the worlds biggest Debbie Harry fan and her being in the Nightmare video just kind of showed my da if Debbie respects and likes Halsey enough to be in a video then they are defo cool and worth it 🤷🏼♀️
Watching @halsey on @FKSpodcast and I love how it’s literally just a chat with friends. But your talking about so much and in such depth but it’s so chill! Only makes me love @halsey more honestly 🥰
Can we not just set up a monthly fan subscription so we can get first look/listen coz you know full well we gonna buy everything and anything you release anyway!
@halsey don’t for a second get me wrong, I bloody love you and everything you do. I have spend thousands to travel countries and on hotels and merch etc coz of course I would! But I literally only in Jan spent a small fortune…
A new The Great Impersonator deluxe edition, with new unheard tracks! Meaning I’m obviously gonna have to spend more money so I can hear the new tracks! I mean yeah imma do it but damn!
And tbh to this day I think my fave childhood films are: the never ending story, the land before time, Cinderella and prob Chitty Chitty Bang Bang(except for the child catcher, he still scares me to this day!) so I mean a lot of trauma in my childhood faves 🤷🏼♀️😂
In work last night and randomly “the never ending story” started playing, to which I said ah I love that film! My co-worker who is like 30yrs older than me was like “film? I didn’t know it was a film I only know the song”
I tried to briefly explain the movie to him but I think I lost him at electroshock therapy, a talking chicken and a witch who has a wardrobe full of different heads 😂 My coworker is now very concerned about what I watched as a child 😂😂🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
A customer came up and was talking to us about it and how her husband had no clue either! Then I said if you think that’s weird try watching “Return to Oz” and she got it and was like yeah f that! But my coworker had no clue!
And they could all hear him cheering them on while he was reading. I think this just sent him over the edge and he was like nah your messing with me! I’m like “no honestly look it up 1984 “the never ending story” watch it and it will all make sense!” So we left it there until…
I’m like “yeah basically, and to save everyone from the nothingness the kid reading has to give the child empress a new name!” He’s like how tf would a book know if he did or not? So I had to explain that somehow(never questioned it tbh) the book and ppl in the story knew”
To which I just said “I know, it sounds mental, but I promise it makes sense when you watch the film” 🤷🏼♀️ he’s like “a boy in an attic reading a book and a child Indian who’s horse dies in a bog of sadness, a racing snail and the world is ending because of the “nothingness”
So I obviously proceeded to try as best as I could to explain the movie, the plot and characters etc and the look I got back 😂😂 he was like “wtf were you watching as a child? None of that makes sense!”
