Today we remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of those who took part in the D-Day landings on 6 June 1944.
Their bravery helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today. We honour those who served, those who fell, and the veterans who carried on.
Lest We Forget.
Today I’m wearing green to support Wear It Green Day for Mental Health Awareness Week. 💚
Mental health matters every single day, and even small conversations can make a big difference. Whether it’s checking in on a friend, or supporting someone struggling, it all helps.
Happy International Nurses Day to all the incredible nurses out there.
Thank you for the care, compassion, patience and professionalism you show every single day. From hospitals and care homes to community services and emergency care, your hard work makes a real difference!
Today we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of all those who served and gave so much for us. Let us remember them this VE day.
Lest we forget. 🇬🇧🌺

Yesterday was our last Junior Volunteers session until next year. It’s been a brilliant year, with so many great moments, and there’s plenty more to look forward to. I’m also really thankful to receive a certificate recognising my work with the group over the last year.
Today is International Volunteers Day, a day to celebrate the incredible work volunteers do across the world.
A huge well done and thank you to everyone who gives their time to support their community. Your efforts truly make an incredible difference.
For anyone that is unaware, Ask for Angela is a discreet way to ask for help in a bar or club if you feel unsafe. When you ask for "Angela," a trained staff member will know you need assistance and can help you leave discreetly, find a friend, or call a taxi or the police.

Despite what many seafood sellers claim, lobsters do feel pain, and boiling or cutting them alive causes unimaginable suffering. Compassion should never stop at what’s convenient for our plates.
Today is the 107th anniversary of Armistice Day, marking the end of the First World War. I hope many will join me in a Two Minute silence later today at 11am. #LestWeForget
