Yesterday, the #TXEMTF updated Acting Gov. @LtGovTX Dan Patrick & @TDEM Chief Nim Kidd on our response to Hurricane #Beryl.
To date, our disaster medical teams have treated over 600 patients & transported more than 500.
350+ dedicated personnel deployed with 200+ assets.
Texas also set up a base camp with 650 rooms in trailers, equipped with bathrooms, showers, and dining facilities for our first responders who came from across Texas and other states to help. Most are firemen and women and EMT teams.
In addition, we have sent state troopers and police from across Texas to counties in the damaged areas. We supply generators. @TxDOT helps clear roads. @TXEMTF and various other agencies take on multiple tasks and provide support. This is just a part of the assistance Texas is providing in Houston and other counties affected by Beryl.
Statewide, Texas has distributed over:
1.9 million bottles of water
230k ready-to-eat meals
56k bags of ice
And we are not done yet. #txlege #HurricaneBeryl
